But with the EV Infrastructure Grant for Staff and Fleets offering up to £75,000 per school (up to £15,000 per site, across five sites), and covering 75% of installation costs, the case for action is strong and immediate.

The UK is accelerating towards a net-zero future, with 382,000 electric vehicles sold in 2024, and EVs accounting for 21.6% of new car sales in 2025. Administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), the grant empowers your school to install EV chargepoints for staff and fleets—delivering immediate value and long-term benefits.

- Support Your Staff: Charging EVs at school, especially at off-peak rates (as low as 2p per mile), is significantly cheaper than petrol or diesel (15p–23p per mile). Staff could save up to £1,500 annually per vehicle—a meaningful boost to wellbeing.
- Reduce Fleet Costs: Electrifying school minibuses or maintenance vehicles cuts fuel and upkeep expenses. Combined with the Electric Car Grant (up to £3,750 per vehicle, launched 16 July 2025), this becomes an affordable, impactful shift.
